RABBI Dovid

Rabbi Dovid loves Judaism and people. He attended the local Jewish day school in his hometown of Toronto and initiated many community events while growing up. His studies took him to Baltimore, Israel, Kazaskstan, NY, and NJ where he continued his community involvement whilst obtaining Rabbinic ordination. Dovid is six years into a successful teaching career, and has led hands-on children’s workshops in NY while working as an assistant Rabbi. Zaltzman's creativity attracted him to puppetry and performing, which he loves to do but never on demand.

Dovid received his rabbinic degree from the former chief rabbi of Israel at the Rabbinical College of America.

Shternie

Shternie Zaltzman grew up in Melbourne, Australia. She continued her studies in Israel and went on to study design in New York. Her passion for early childhood education led her to a three year teaching career in Melbourne Australia, and then the Upper West Side. Upon completing her design studies Shternie went on to work and lead the layout design department at the Jewish Learning Institute in Brooklyn.

Rabbi Dovid and Shternie married in New York in 2018 and have an adorable three-year-old daughter and one-year-old son.

After discovering Watertown and its Jewish needs, Rabbi Dovid and Shternie opened Chabad Watertown.
